The laws of manifestation are eternal. The sages of ancient India looked into the heart of creation and saw how the cosmos came to be made. They understood that before the beginning of any undertaking, whether it be an ashram, business, artistic creation, a family - or the world - there was a yearning and an intention. They learned through experience that deep contemplation upon that intention, could, if it were aligned with Divine Grace, bring it from a dream into a reality.

The intention of The Children's Project is to guide our students to build a bright future for themselves as happy and productive citizens of India. Sathya Sai Baba says, "Education is not for mere living, it is for life - a fuller, more meaningful, more worthwhile life." Our children are encouraged to have dreams and taught that they have within them the power to make their imaginings come alive in the world.

By making vocational education a part of our academic program, the children experience firsthand how all they have learned in courses like accounting, computer science, food science, animal husbandry, marketing, design, restaurant management, etc. comes into to practical use. We've carefully selected several enterprises to provide students with practical hands-on learning, to prepare them for success with their own life choices. Our coffee, organic gardening and dairy programs are in their infancy, but their foundations are firm and some of the older children already enjoy taking an active role in building their futures. "Human resources," Sai Baba says, "are more valuable than all the wealth in the world, for it is they who determine the effective utilization of all other resources."

CPT's vocational education enterprises are run along the same dharmic principles as the school, following the Vedic dictum that "man shall strive to win wealth by the righteous path." We are committed to transparency in all our affairs and will be regularly posting information about our progress on the site. In the meantime, the dreaming continues and is shared by all!

Education has two aspects; the first is related to external and worldly education, which is nothing but acquiring bookish knowledge. In the modern world, we find many well versed and highly qualified in this aspect. The second aspect known as Educare is related to human values. The word Educare means to bring out that which is within. Human values are latent in every human being; one cannot acquire them from outside. They have to be elicited from within. Educare means to bring out human values. "To bring out" means to translate them into action.
