our indwelling spirit
The recognition of the eternal indwelling spirit, pure consciousness, infuses all that we do at the school. For the founders of The Children's Project and indeed many of the children, that spirit takes the form of Sri Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi, one of the great spiritual masters of this age. It is he who has revived and proclaimed the universal message of all great religious traditions through His simple but profound directive:

"Love All, Serve All"
This message has been the inspiration behind the founding of The Children's Project and it continues to fuel our expansion and infuse vitality into our daily lives.
The children learn that the same spirit abides in everyone, in everything, and it is that spirit we recognize and serve through all our activities. By consciously serving that essence in others, we all can experience that we are actually serving the highest part of ourselves. In this way the children learn how to turn their eternal existence into positive action in the world. This eternal spirit, which is love, has had an impact on everyone associated with The Children's Project. The unselfish expression of love which people experience at the school has a ripple effect that subtly but surely elevates the consciousness of society in general. That this is part of our mission is reflected in the name given us by Sri Sathya Sai Baba:
